app buttons missing in windows 11 - epson scan

recently upgrade to Win 11 and it generally seems ok.
1 issue though is that the action buttons on epson scan no longer show (preview, scan etc)
if you click on the area they should be they still work and then appear- which is great if you know where all the buttons are!
it worked perfectly fine the 10 min before i did the upgrade then had this issue immediately after.
so far only found the issue on this one app
any thoughts on resolution.

https://epson.com/Support/Printers/sh/s1
- Enter product name. In my case WF-7610
- Check that operating system is correct - I had to change to Windows 11 (Go)
- Went to Utilities - Selected Epson Scan Common Updater V1.0.0 +
11/15/21 | 10.5 MB | ESCU_W11.exe - DOWNLOAD
It worked. I can now see Scan & preview buttons.

I than went to the following website and it worked. It permanently displays "scan" and "preview" buttons.

2024-09-14T16:27:55+00:00 Tried everything I could that's been offered. Thanks to all for trying to help. None of it including Alt key brings the buttons up full time on my Perfection 3490 Photo scanner. Epson is useless. Had to trash my last Epson printer (now own a Canon) due to a software download they made because I couldn't get it to work after and they offered zero help. It was a great photo printer too. I can't see ever buying another Epson product period.
