app buttons missing in windows 11 - epson scan

I tried it... but it just made the epson scan tool crash at start.. asking for reinstallation as it doesn't find necessary files...

(may be Epson releades just a patch for the japanese or english version... ).
(and yes, I tested on original epson files, not the ones I modified to get the scanner buttons visible again).

recently upgrade to Win 11 and it generally seems ok.

1 issue though is that the action buttons on epson scan no longer show (preview, scan etc)

if you click on the area they should be they still work and then appear- which is great if you know where all the buttons are!

it worked perfectly fine the 10 min before i did the upgrade then had this issue immediately after.

so far only found the issue on this one app

any thoughts on resolution.

Holy moly! Thank you!! I have spent the last three days trying to get those buttons to appear—uninstalling, deleting, reinstalling, searching & searching the internet for solutions (Epson's website was absolutely no help), even dug out my old CD installation disc—all to no avail. I was just about to give up and go buy a new scanner, when I decided to look one last time for a solution using "missing scan button" in my search parameters, and lo and behold, your post popped up. It never occurred to me to click on the area where the buttons should be, but by golly, that worked, and now I can scan the negatives I wanted to scan for my buddy's memorial service, so good enough for now. I'll just have to remember for the future that the buttons are invisible until I click on where they should be. How ridiculous and surreal.

There is an update to Epson scan which fixes the issue. Update the software for the scanner and everything works fine.
