Thanks for the advice but as I mentioned I can’t reach the BIOS as the laptop power isn’t enough to get me that far.

I updated to Windows 11. BIG MISTAKE! Now, My laptop battery is dead and won't charge. I see lots of people had problems with the battery not charging, but my battery is dead and so none of those work for me. Will MS pay for a new battery for me since they broke my laptop? Let ne jbiw uf tgere;s aything else I can do short of spending money I don't have on a new battery.
Reading all the comments from people who had this problem, Microsoft knew this was a problem and should have fixed it before releasing it to the public.

2023-03-18T04:20:44+00:00 I tried this (Go to Bios > Security > Secure Boot > Try to enable or disable it) with changing back to version 21h2 from 22h2 then back to 22h2 & now seems battery is charging.
Just bought a brand new Win11 laptop and it didn't recognize the charger straight out of the box. Checked the update queue and saw the 22h2 listed. Installed the update and now it's charging. Thanks for mentioning to look for this!

2023-03-18T09:33:03+00:00 Well all is finally all good for me now. I downloaded the recovery image from Microsoft onto a USB drive. Reinstalled from the recovery stick as full fresh reinstall and now its charging fine. 22H2 or a related update seems to have sorted it..Moral of the story don't upgrade from Windows 10. Do a full fresh reinstall and get all the latest drivers/software from the OEMs support site. Good luck to all.

2023-04-11T14:44:23+00:00 Listen im an embedded firmware engineer and have a degree in electrical engineering. If a deep cycle lithium battery isnt serviced correctly by the SOFTWARE CONTROLLED battery driver then the hardware will be rendered in opperable due to a SOFTWARE problem

2023-04-11T15:54:07+00:00 Well it isn't the problem if you can run it okay on Windows 10. Anyway I had the issue with Windows 11. It not charging to its potential by a long way. I resolved it, all I can say is that initially I upgraded from 10 to 11 within 10. The issue appeared. So I created a recovery usb stick and freshly installed from that problem resolved. I expect it was hanging onto that old battery controller driver from 10 or something had changed in the newest build or OEM driver and they kept quiet about it.
