My battery says it is charged but if I unplug the power cable the computer dies. Happened after I did windows 11 upgrade. I have updated all drivers and systems and even put a new battery in. How do I correct this?

I updated to Windows 11. BIG MISTAKE! Now, My laptop battery is dead and won't charge. I see lots of people had problems with the battery not charging, but my battery is dead and so none of those work for me. Will MS pay for a new battery for me since they broke my laptop? Let ne jbiw uf tgere;s aything else I can do short of spending money I don't have on a new battery.
Reading all the comments from people who had this problem, Microsoft knew this was a problem and should have fixed it before releasing it to the public.

I just gave up on all these fixes. I have Alienware M17. I just broke down and bought a new battery. Once installed and charged my problems are now over. Seems that was the only and real fix. I now have plenty of battery life again, just like before win 11. I really doubt Microsoft will pay for your battery, but I’m just happy to put this issue behind me. Good luck.
Alright I suck at explaining, but I have an acer laptop too and these are the steps that worked for me. First, I updated bios to the latest version, but it was a bit difficult due to you know my laptop being plugged in, but not charging. So, to be able to update it follow the steps in this video. Before doing that make sure to create a bootable usb with windows 10 or 11. There’s plenty tutorials on that as well. When you update it or in my experience, my computer didn’t recognize my hard drive, so make sure you have the usb in hand ready and continue with the installation or else you will be stuck. Those are all the steps I followed, hope i helped :)
I bought a new battery (internal Main Battery Pack 11.46V 2095mAh) for 100,39€
THe system see now 13% charged. I'll se if this is changing during the day. I would really appreciate an answer from Microsoft. I'm a long time Office user and payer, Xbox and so one.
So please give us an answer.
I'm having the same issue. My laptop updated overnight without me accepting. When I woke up to start work, my battery went from 100% immediately to 0% and shut off. I've tried restarting, keeping it plugged in for 30+ minutes, and nothing is working. I can't even get the battery to 1% of charge. Just says "Plugged In 0%." I've only had the laptop for ~2 years, it's a Lenovo IdeaPad. Never had issues with the battery EVER before now. I've never left it on the charger for long periods of time, never put it in a humid condition, etc. If this doesn't get fixed, I'm switching to Apple.
