Windows 11/Battery dead and not charging

I updated to Windows 11. BIG MISTAKE! Now, My laptop battery is dead and won't charge. I see lots of people had problems with the battery not charging, but my battery is dead and so none of those work for me. Will MS pay for a new battery for me since they broke my laptop? Let ne jbiw uf tgere;s aything else I can do short of spending money I don't have on a new battery.

Reading all the comments from people who had this problem, Microsoft knew this was a problem and should have fixed it before releasing it to the public.

    I had the same issue; however, I went through 3 batteries and Microsoft told me it was a hardware issue even though my laptop sent me a error message that I had software configuration issues draining my battery. In addition, my win 11 pro OS was wiped out. I wonder if Microsoft will replace my laptop along with $800 worth of upgrades that I put into my laptop? Switch to a Linux OS and have less issues!

    I’ve had the same issue and it’s completely frustrating, all the battery diagnosis I do say that there’s nothing wrong with the battery….

    It seems to be absurd to have a software update that I didn’t even ask for ruin my laptop…

    Well to truly see if the battery will charge do a cold boot into the BIOS and see if.the battery will fully charge that way. If.ot.does it's an O/S issue or.a.outdated driver within the O/S.

    I recommend making.a Windows 11 recovery usb drive. And reinstalling from a cold.boot electing.to wipe the existing OS and that's how it worked.for me.

    I can't believe this issue still isn't fixed. I've been having to be plugged in to do anything and if I make one false move everything is gone.

    My battery diagnostic looked the same, and there is definitely something fishy because the battery capacity numbers you shared don't seem to show any kind of degradation:

    This is how mine looked and it stopped reporting charges after February (it's been 6 months now), and nothing about drivers or changing batteries seem to work.
