Slide Show in Windows 11

Is there a way to get the windows slides show back in W11? I used it all the time and its gone. I don't mean the lock screen one, that's no good. I have left it too late to revert to W10 regretfully

I was in the same position. I found this tutorial, and the necessary commands are in the comments sections.

It is very simple and takes File explorer back to the Windows 10 version.

    The commands in that youtube video description used to work, however, Windows 11 did some upgrade and the commands no longer work to enable the SlideShow within FileExplorer.

    It looks like the "Photos Legacy" app has this capability, but I still prefer the old "SlideShow" option within FileExplorer. Now I have to jump to a separate app when I want to do a "SlideShow", before it was built into FileExplorer so it was very convenient to invoke.

    It's a bummer, & somewhat a mystery to me, that Microsoft saw this re-configuration in 11 as an improvement...

    You can use one of the methods below. The 1st two options are simple registry edits. Option 3 & 4 require installing third-party programs; their DLLs will load with the Explorer shell.
