Slide Show in Windows 11

Is there a way to get the windows slides show back in W11? I used it all the time and its gone. I don't mean the lock screen one, that's no good. I have left it too late to revert to W10 regretfully

I was in the same position. I found this tutorial, and the necessary commands are in the comments sections.

It is very simple and takes File explorer back to the Windows 10 version.

    P.S I'm doing this because last year and the year before I made several videos on microsoft windows to commemerate my

    sister's passing. AND nOW THIS FANTASTIC Windows 11 Year, I'm unable to do that.

    So YOU **** so called SOFTWARENGINEERS "that are destined to destroy the world" P.S "your track records arent

    sparking any lights or garnering any Emmy Awards. FIX IT.

    As a Windows user for many, many years (I seem to remember using Windows since 1985 or 1986) the loss of Slideshow functionality is, in my opinion, a regressive change. In simpler terms, it is a downgrade. Feel free to disagree. But, Microsoft removed functionality that I have used for years. I have thousands of digital photos from decades of travels in the US, Europe, and Asia. Before I bought my first digital camera I scanned paper photos and converted them into digital files. I still have the files. But the loss of Slideshow functionality eliminates the ability to view photos in an automated, hands free process. While there may be other applications to do this, I pay Microsoft way too much money for their applications to get worse not better. As I said above, please feel free to disagree.

    I couldn't find "Photo Legacy" in the Microsoft store, but I clicked on Search and searched for "Photo Legacy" and found "photo legacy download" which took me to a bing search and "Get Microsoft Photos Legacy from the Microsoft Store" came up. That brings up "Microsoft Photos Legacy" app (Photos plural). I downloaded and installed it, however, I don't see the "Slideshow" option when I'm in a FileExplorer window. How to I invoke the "Slideshow" to work from FileExplorer? Or do I have to view the images using the "Microsoft Photos Legacy" app only?
