Slide Show in Windows 11

Is there a way to get the windows slides show back in W11? I used it all the time and its gone. I don't mean the lock screen one, that's no good. I have left it too late to revert to W10 regretfully

I was in the same position. I found this tutorial, and the necessary commands are in the comments sections.

It is very simple and takes File explorer back to the Windows 10 version.

    Thank you for trying - all I have under the video (not that extensions button) are simply: Notifications; Indexing; Privacy and About this app (with nothing I can open).

    The Microsoft Photos Legacy does not appear in the Microsoft Store.

    I used to simply highlight my chosen photos in the folder in which they were in and I could compare them or choose them in a slideshow. Now I have to open every single photo to check it.

    Edit: I wonder if all the 'fixes' and workarounds only work when you have upgraded from Win 10.

    Edit again. The app needed an update and I can now see what you were referring to. The trouble is that as a photographer and editor of photos, I want this ability from within my folders which are highly organised. When I open a particular photo album, I can see the slideshow setting ... but if I choose photos from within the folder, the slideshow taskbar disappears.

    This is what the settings page in Photos looks like for me. Photos Legacy is second from bottom.

    All that this button really does is opens Microsoft Photos Legacy in the Microsoft Store (the briefcase icon on the launch bar). So you could just go to Microsoft Store and search for Microsoft Photos Legacy and see if you can find it through that route.

    Winnaero Tweaker resulted in me having to reinstall Windows 11. It only works if you have upgraded. When I used it, it stopped Windows 11 functioning - no Windows button and no search.

    I have looked at every section of 'Settings' and cannot find any 'Photos Legacy' - would this work with a clean version of Windows 11 rather than an upgraded Windows 10?
