Hello Paloma and thank you very much for the thorough reply, but....this isn't what I had asked. Perhaps I don't understand how this site works since I received a response from S J Patil earlier and I replied to it already. :)

This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I upgraded to Windows 11 and reverted back to Windows 10. Now Windows 10 automatically attempts to download and install Windows 11 again. See below:
I can Pause Updates but doing so doesn't allow me to update Windows 10 "patches." I'm being forced to Upgrade to Windows 11 without the ability to stop it.
I want to cancel the Upgrade to Windows 11 (download/installation) process which initiated on its own without my consent. The current status is how it shows in the image above - ready to download and then install Windows 11 but there is no way to stop it.
What I want:

That isn't a good solution.
When you edit the registry this way you are telling your PC YOU DO NOT WANT TO RECEIVE ANY MORE UPDATES.
In other words, you will no longer receive future updates for Windows 10, or any updates at all.
This is not the right answer.
You need to be able to receive Windows 10 updates, and not receive the prompt to update to Windows 11.
These threads get a little messy, but it might help people to see EXACTLY what you're replying to, as opposed to possibly letting someone think the registry edits don't work.
Warning to all the little children in society today... I've used colorful language and innuendos below so run away now....
I'm on windows 10 Pro (which is probably needed for some of the potential edits in this thread), and edited the registry to stop that "God awful fetid piece of dog excrement" known as windows 11 from soiling my computer. The edit works perfectly, and I still get Win 10 updates.
preface: I absolutely hate all of your services. Everything you offer is trash and is why I would never invest in your company or refer a colleague to any of your services.
Your unsolicited Microsoft cloud is highly inappropriate. The presumptuous reconfigurations that your hardware assumes the user wants is absolutely disrespectful. Your dystopian censorship of online discussions is putrid and is making progressives look bad.
seriously disappointed with Microsoft and Windows 11 as a whole.
I really need to learn to live with linux. I am sick even on Windows 10 of being told on start up "now lets get your computer set up" EXCUSE ME! MY computer IS setup, I don't want any more Microsoft control freak garbage products on MY hardware. MY hardware. When will microsoft show some respect? if the want to lease computers, sure, do what you damn well like. but I paid for this machine. I OWN this machine, not microsoft. I simply run your OS that does not give you permission to meddle in all other things relating to my computer life!
Time we had some new rules abut the OS vendor pushing non OS components onto users. wish I could bill microsoft for the time I waste trying to avoid becoming their slave!
Using windows is like going to a restaurant for your evening meal only to have the restaurant owner force you to buy take away breakfast and lunch for the next day along with all of your drinks for the next day.
