Unfortunately I have 100+ workstations all reasonably newer Dell machines with SecureBoot and TPM turned on. The point of having a Domain with WSUS is to be able to control and select what updates are approved pushed out to end users. My point here is users can't event disable their on WiFi connection because of our strict policy but they can update their OS! Makes no sense!!
Stop upgrade to Windows 11
I upgraded to Windows 11 and reverted back to Windows 10. Now Windows 10 automatically attempts to download and install Windows 11 again. See below:
I can Pause Updates but doing so doesn't allow me to update Windows 10 "patches." I'm being forced to Upgrade to Windows 11 without the ability to stop it.
I want to cancel the Upgrade to Windows 11 (download/installation) process which initiated on its own without my consent. The current status is how it shows in the image above - ready to download and then install Windows 11 but there is no way to stop it.
What I want:
- Windows 10 to stop Upgrade to Windows 11 process
- Ability to update Windows 10 without it upgrading/installing to Windows 11
- Windows 10 with the ability to update patches
Windows for home | Windows 10 | Windows update

2023-01-25T06:20:35+00:00 You don't really want to stop all updates do you?
Keep looking for something that only blocks the upgrade, I wish I had the answer, maybe over at "Ask Woody", try them.
If you completely shut down all win updates within 6 months you'll be so vulnerable to internet hijinx that something bad will almost certainly happen to one of your PCs. There are ways, Lucky for me I don't need one 'cause I'm running a 3rd gen i5 and it already stopped kicking me to buy a new computer (but they put me through hell for 2 months) -

2023-01-22T20:35:33+00:00 Windows 11 has caused no end of problems at work, we have an incompetent IT company that just roll everything out regardless. Having meetings on Teams, yes that MS **** causes the 3D CAD to crash meaning the customer cannot be shown the work, it's so stupid. At home I went back to 10 and have made the registry edit to stop it updating from 10.
