High ram usage while idle on a windows 11 pc

Just like the title goes, my laptop gets about 50~60 ram usage while idle, even though it has 16 gigs of ram. Tried checking with the task manager doesn't seem to spot anything going on. Also, I've tried fixing the registry, disabling startup applications, defragmenting drives, turning off Sysmain, as said on the Internet, but they all didn't change anything. Is there any way to fix this while not clean installing windows again?

    I have same issue. I have 32 GB RAM and it appears that Windows 11 is using about 7-7.5 GB when idle. Although I also have custom pagefile setup on 7 drives (SSD) with min 1024 MB and max 10240 MB.

    Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900F 2.40 GHz

    Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable)

    System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

    Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660

    Will you share the screenshot of ram usage under task manager.

    Also did you overlooked ram frequency in bios.

    Name , brand model no of your motherboard,bios version currently installed

    I'm sorry, but please explain how "RAM frequency" affects how much RAM Windows OS uses.

    Let alone the motherboard or bios version.

    without using the Microsoft Edge application RAM usage, i have a 32 GB RAM module ,ie two 16gb stick , run at 5600Mhz without overclocking but enabled XMP profile

    1. Anything over 4800Mhz for RAM speed is Overclocking (assuming DDR5), be it EXPO(AMD), XMP(INTEL), or manually set.
      1.A. The default RAM speed on DDR5 is 4800Mhz.
    2. This tread is "High RAM usage while idle on a Windows 11 PC."
      2.A. "Usage" meaning EXP: 20GB out of a total of 32GB is assigned, NOT 62.5% duty cycle.
    3. The ROOT problem is that Windows uses RAM without informing the user that it has done so or for what it is being used for.
      3.A. If you add up everything under "Memory" in the "Processes tab" in "Task Manager", it comes nowhere near what the "Memory" in the "Performance tab" shows being used.

    It's like going to a restaurant and being charged 40€/$ when the total for all items on your BILL comes to 25€/$ even after accounting for VAT and tip.
    This means you are paying 15€/$ for something you did not order, let alone see anything mentioned on the BILL.

    The issue is present not just on laptops but also on Tower PCs. Be it put together by the user or by an OEM
