High ram usage while idle on a windows 11 pc

Just like the title goes, my laptop gets about 50~60 ram usage while idle, even though it has 16 gigs of ram. Tried checking with the task manager doesn't seem to spot anything going on. Also, I've tried fixing the registry, disabling startup applications, defragmenting drives, turning off Sysmain, as said on the Internet, but they all didn't change anything. Is there any way to fix this while not clean installing windows again?

    But is there a way (eg, via your BIOS) that you can reduce the amount of Total RAM that's reserved for your GPU? If you can, then the RAM reserved for your Applications (ie, the App RAM) should increase.

    while that may be the case on integrated GPUs , if you disable integrated GPU, the dedicated one still uses some. shared GPU memory

    I am in the same situation.
    A lot of Ram used even in Idle.

    Even for me the Shared GPU RAM show something similar and even in my case it's an Intel Iris Xe Graphics. On the other PC with windows 11 and no Iris I do not notice the same issue. Could it be something related to particular hardware configuration?

    I am on Windows 11 Pro 22631.

    Waiting for some fix.

    I think I may have found the problem, but am not sure. I have 32 GB of Total RAM, but I have found that approximately half of the 32 GB of Total RAM (16 GB) is allocated to my GPU (Graphics Chip or Card). That leaves 16 GB for everything else (eg, allocated to me for my Apps). I'll call this "App RAM". So the percentage (%) that Task Manager's reports for Memory Usage % is based on how much of the App RAM is being used.

    You can see how much of your Total RAM is allocated to your GPU on the Task Manager Performance Tab. Select the GPU, then look at the "GPU Memory" field at the bottom. Mine currently says: 2.0/15.8 GB (See Screenshot)

    That means that the GPU is using 2.0 GB out of the 15.8 GB allocated to it (15.8 is approximately 16 GB). But nothing else on the PC can use the remaining 13.8 GB, because that's reserved for the GPU.

    Some PCs allow you to change how much of the Total RAM is allocated to the GPU via an App on your PC or via an Advanced BIOS Setting, , but I haven't found a way to do that on my PC.

    [Note: The RAM usage numbers still don't seem to add-up, because it says I'm using 22.4 GB of my Total RAM. If I were using all of the 16 GB allocated to App RAM and add the 2.1 GB being used by the GPU, that's a total of 18.1 GB in use. So I don't know what accounts for the missing 4.3 GB.]

    I'm now on Win 11 Pro Build 22631 and had this same error. Task Manager showed no clues or indications of where my 64GB was used at 100%.

    I'm running Hyper-V with a Linux VM running. In the Hyper-V Manager is the only place I found that the VM was using 56GB of the 64GB I have.

    I internally updated everything in my Linux VM and rebooted that, and my insane memory usage has stopped.

    I don't know if it's a memory leak in the dynamic memory setting of Hyper-V or perhaps my VM internally has a memory bug.

    But rebooting my VMs resolved my insane memory usage.
