High ram usage while idle on a windows 11 pc

Just like the title goes, my laptop gets about 50~60 ram usage while idle, even though it has 16 gigs of ram. Tried checking with the task manager doesn't seem to spot anything going on. Also, I've tried fixing the registry, disabling startup applications, defragmenting drives, turning off Sysmain, as said on the Internet, but they all didn't change anything. Is there any way to fix this while not clean installing windows again?

My laptop is currently on Windows 11 build 22000,

Hello. I have 16 gb ram and I want to understand, where my ram does go. It shows usage of 5.76 gb ram in total(2 gb ram is being used by processes shown on the screen). Well.. windows 11 is eating approximately 4 gb and I am interested where does it go :D

I know that its better to create new thread but I think if there will be many people with this problem, then microsoft will notice this

I also had same problem, windows 10 was just taking 2.4 GB RAM just to startup, looks like windows 11 required 4.2 GB RAM. I was unable to use my laptop for more then 1 week because just had 8 GB RAM, so added one more stick of 8GB RAM to total 16 GB for doing same multi-tasking that i could do on windows 10 with 8GB RAM. Looks like windows 11 user interface uses so much memory, or it contains so many bots or Microsoft services in background. I just wanted to use windows 11, but mostly for longer battery life and memory i used it with dual booted with ubuntu. windows 11 also just half my battery life, which was around 8 hours on full charge now dropped to 5 hours. Or may be it was Asus software's and services and drivers they provide are doing this problems on windows 11.

I have the same problem, and cannot find a way to solve it.

Few processes open but i see much more memory used than the amout they occupy.

    Can we have a solution?

Hey, I tried doing what this post suggests and it partially solved my problem (RAM usage is much better now after a reboot):
