High ram usage while idle on a windows 11 pc

Just like the title goes, my laptop gets about 50~60 ram usage while idle, even though it has 16 gigs of ram. Tried checking with the task manager doesn't seem to spot anything going on. Also, I've tried fixing the registry, disabling startup applications, defragmenting drives, turning off Sysmain, as said on the Internet, but they all didn't change anything. Is there any way to fix this while not clean installing windows again?

My laptop is currently on Windows 11 build 22000,

I'm running Windows 11 Pro 22H2 and Edge and I'm my Task Manager shows between 48% - 98% memory usage and MicrosoftSecurityApp.exe is always at the top of the list using from 4G to 13G! My laptop lags all day. I've used SFC, DISM Windows Memory Diagnostics etc. and they report that all is well. This is extremely frustrating. Is anyone else experiencing this problem specifically with MicrosoftSecurityApp.exe?

With last window's update either KB5027119 or KB5027231, I don't have anymore the problem.
Do someone knows exactly where it came from ? Because it's not clear in the release notes...

I also have the same issue, i have 16gb of ram, more than 4gb is used while my laptop os doing absolutely nothing, only background process run with collectively use about 500mb or so.... When ever i open any app, ram usage goes up to like 50%, even when the app is using like 500mb on task manager

I had 16gb ram, the laptop always using alot of ram even in idle so i upgraded to 32gb, same using (my 3rd party apps take 3gb ram) and im never below 60 (even with all the 3rd party apps closed) and mostly around 70 on ram usage, there is no specific app that takes alot, just a TON of windows stuff that takes sub 50mb ram that amounts to more than half the memory .

if i start my developing env with docker (2 containers with a total of 3gb ram), visual studio and visual studio code im around 90-99 in ram on 32gb. cpu around 10-20%

So it seems that the more ram we give the Windows 11 beast the more it eats for some reason?
i also have 32gb virtual ram and 10gb is used so right now in idle im using 31gb ram of the 63gb total including the virtual ram
