I think Windows 10 also uses 1-2 GB RAM on idle Windows 11 uses 4-5 GB RAM on idle. I'd like to go back to Win 10
High ram usage while idle on a windows 11 pc
Just like the title goes, my laptop gets about 50~60 ram usage while idle, even though it has 16 gigs of ram. Tried checking with the task manager doesn't seem to spot anything going on. Also, I've tried fixing the registry, disabling startup applications, defragmenting drives, turning off Sysmain, as said on the Internet, but they all didn't change anything. Is there any way to fix this while not clean installing windows again?
My laptop is currently on Windows 11 build 22000,

2024-01-15T15:21:54+00:00 I have the same issue - it is a brand new laptop with i3 12th gen 1215U processor, with 8 GB RAM.
The RAM usage is always 60% or more -- with no other application running.
Even the CPU usage shoots up randomly with no apparent reason. Here I have only one firefox tab open and nothing else.
In the user tab, the total RAM used is around1.2 GB under my user ID. Still the usage is 67%.

2024-01-15T09:41:19+00:00 as I wrote - try this:
Update.
Were NOT fixed by boot settings \ auloaders \ services \ etc
Fixed to 25..30% after: disable Fast Startup on Windows 11
Alternatively, open Command Prompt (admin) and run the “powercfg /h off” command to disable Windows 11 Fast Startup.
