Just like the title goes, my laptop gets about 50~60 ram usage while idle, even though it has 16 gigs of ram. Tried checking with the task manager doesn't seem to spot anything going on. Also, I've tried fixing the registry, disabling startup applications, defragmenting drives, turning off Sysmain, as said on the Internet, but they all didn't change anything. Is there any way to fix this while not clean installing windows again?
My laptop is currently on Windows 11 build 22000,

After restarting check again memory
Hello, I have the same problem : my laptop has 16GB of RAM and with no application open else than Firefox, my RAM usage is 52%, and never seems to be less than 40%. Often when I work with 3-4 applications at the same time, I get a black screen and I am forced to reboot.
In the Task Manager, it seems like I have a gazillion small processes that add up and I don't really know which ones to remove. Even if I end them in the Task Manager, they come back after I've rebooted.
It's a painful problem and Microsoft should really fix it because it's impossible to work in those conditions.
I have the same issue, except that I'm on a desktop. I have 16GB of RAM, and the only things open are MS Edge, which bounces between 600.5 MB and 737.8 MB usage idly, and Chrome, which isn't open but shows as a process, bouncing between 125.7 MB and 347.7 MB usage idly, which I don't understand. Why is it even changing when nothing is being used?
My memory usage fluctuates between 49% and 54%. So many processes are running, yet nothing is open, so why all the processes? Even if I stop some processes, they're back when I restart.
I checked Startup apps and even disabled some of them, to no avail.
I agree with ChrisNaude's statement on Page 1 of this thread; how is this possible?
Windows 10 had issues with "Disk 100% usage" and memory. In Windows 11, Disk 100% appears fine, but the memory issue remains a big problem.
What can be done to fix this, as it's making it difficult to work efficiently?
Here is a screenshort, sorted with highest memory utility. I don't have install any unnecessary apps. Can toy give me solution of this?
I have the same issue, always 45 - 55% memory usage, I have 64GB Ram...
The ram in the subtotals is compressed. The percent is uncompressed. It is very much all your third party startup bloat.
