I have the same issue. My account is quite old, many years. Obviously this is some bug in the system, maybe it happens with old accounts. I find it hilarious that some "right wingers" are paranoid about their ability to speak that they immediately decide it's some personal thing where they aren't allowed to make some hostile comments! I say, it's probably better you can't comment because think about it, it's a waste of time, there are usually already hundreds of comments and nobody has time to read them! Read the news, no need to put your 2 cents in!
"The username violates our guidelines"
I tried commenting on an article for the first time today. When i went to sign up and agree to the terms a window said in red letters "The username violates our guidelines"...
my username is my first and last name so I don't understand why I'm seeing this. There is no option to dispute on screen https://account.microsoft.com/profile?ocid=msedgntp

Microsoft Quality Control is just atrocious. They can hardly even patch their own OS without breaking stuff every month. Goodbye Microsoft. Goodbye. You suck.
