I will add one more reason for not wanting Windows 11: It eliminates the option of "tablet mode." Even though I use my Surface Pro more like a laptop than like a tablet, I find the tiled, tablet-style home screen to be the most convenient way to have everything quickly visible and clickable, whether I use the touchscreen or a mouse. I hate the thought of having to use a more traditional desktop arrangement.

Glad you are still doing well with your Windows 10. I don't ever want to go back to that Windows 11 nightmare again. Whew!!!!

I am running a Samsung Galaxy Book Tablet with keyboard. My problem with Windows 11 is that I can't turn my book off. The main power button will not turn the computer off nor will the power button in the start menu. It freeses up in Microsoft Word and Excel and I can't save my file or even type or paste in the document. I finally got it to shut down and when I restarted the computer, I went into settings and reverted back to Windows 10 and turned off Updates because it was trying to reload Windows 11.

The Windows 11 check to see if your system can handle 11 said NO even after it forced an upgrade on me that took over 3 hours to load. 11 is NOT for all computers and should not be forced on anyone.

As I said in my first writeup:

"My problem with Windows 11 is that I can't turn my book off. The main power button will not turn the computer off nor will the power button in the start menu. It freeses up in Microsoft Word and Excel and I can't save my file or even type or paste in the document."

Not being able to turn off my computer IS a MAJOR reason Not to upgrade to windows 11 and a good reason to not want it to load. ALSO the upgrade check app says my Galaxy Book cannot be upgraded to windows 11, but it keeps trying to upgrade my Book to 11. If I turn off updates, I don't get any other updates either. Also, I noticed that my book does not auto rotate when I turn it, it did work with windows 10. I have gone back to win 10 on the Book, but it still won't auto rotate.

I do have a laptop that has upgraded to 11 and is almost working. 11 has killed my audio to my MakeMusic Finale app that worked fine in 10. I have tried to get help from Finale and they tell me Finale should work fine, but it doesn't.

    Robert.

There is the key statement you just said "It's almost working with Windows 11". What you are experiencing with your laptop is exactly why I will not upgrade to Windows 11. It cripples everyone. No way.

I'm sorry you are having such an issue. Most likely too late for you to try to roll back to windows 10 without uninstalling Windows 11 and reinstalling a new Windows 10. What a mess.

I understand what you're going through. I feel the same way so frustrating and aggravating having to babysit it and go into the Run, registry editor and blah blah blah over and over again . It's ashame how they're trying to force us to download this Windows 11.(I'm beginning to wonder if they're related to the guy in the White House forcing everybody to take the vaccine 🤔) I don't want it . LOL pretty soon I think they'll have to be sending us checks for pain and suffering . Jk. I love Microsoft but I'm really disappointed that they're doing this to everybody.
