, as part of the windows Insider program I tested 11 for my don't know maybe three months that was the biggest piece of **** I've ever seen in my life it makes Vista look good it makes 8/8.1 seem like a high performance machine. It is that horrible. I I am changing to Linux in a dual boot for now to stay away from 11 so that's my remedy I still don't want it on my machine how do I keep it off my machine until I can uninstall windows permanently permanently biggest mistake Microsoft ever made that comes from somebody that used it and yet they are so high-and-mighty they think they're going to force it on me yeah right they will learn when they lose their entire customer base Microsoft is not the all and all of all that they're getting worse everyday somebody needs to learn something before they put them self out of business thinking people have no choice there is a choice Linux.

Agreed, I'm not normally a microsoft basher, but it really is a nightmare to use.

I think it's been dumbed down to make it "easier" to use, I suspect primarily for non-business use, but the decisions in what to hide are quite extraordinary.

If you haven't used it, it's a bit like having your indicators hidden in the glove compartment when driving a car... ;-) and the only way to find it, is to search the owners manual = always looking for something which used to be there.

It will have to be changed drmatically, or MS are going to drown in complaints.

Thanks for sharing such details. I also use a Surface, and what you describe is exactly what I fear with Windows 11. I am really, really hoping that by the time Windows 10 is no longer supported/updated they will have made some significant changes to Windows 11 that make it more Surface-friendly.
