how do i stop downloading and installing windows 11. I had a perfectly working computer before you ask me about this **** update. can't do anything with my computer now. so irritating when i have things to do and it's just destroyed and useless now. unbelievable i don't have time for this ****

2022-11-07T20:57:05+00:00 You need to make the registry change as stated much further up in the thread in order to prevent Windows 11 from ever downloading again. You set your target version for Windows 10 (the newest version). That is what you will have.

2022-11-07T20:14:53+00:00 Hi Shelby. My laptop automatically downloaded windows 11, and my wifi network disappeared. All it would say was there was a problem with the device and I could fix it until I forced my laptop back to factory settings. It was the only way I could uninstall Windows 11. It worked great for months this way until my laptop forced a download again. Now I am doing my best to reset everything again. This time it doesn’t give me the option to leave it at Windows 10 when I reset. This is frustrating since my children use this laptop for school. It is different from Windows 10. Very different.
