how do i stop downloading and installing windows 11. I had a perfectly working computer before you ask me about this **** update. can't do anything with my computer now. so irritating when i have things to do and it's just destroyed and useless now. unbelievable i don't have time for this ****

It is too small, you cannot group tiles together and it requires a lot of scrolling to get to the item uou want. I can access everyone of the numerous programs from the start menu tiles on win10, in this one it requires scrolling and clicking several times to get to what I want. Why it can't just be expandable in size is beyond me. Why you can't group like files together is another missed opportunity l
You can tweak the start menu more to your liking. What don't you like about the Windows 11 start menu? As far as stopping Windows 11 from downloading again, there are some solutions further back in this thread although I don't personally feel comfortable with any of them. So, I am still pausing the installation of Windows 11 at this point.
I installed it yesterday and absolutely hate the new start menu so rolled back and now today it is trying to install it again. I do not want to have to go through this process again and again, downloading gigabytes of update I dont want. How do i stop it until MS fix the start menu
With Outlook, you may have an issue with it being saved .pst. or at least that is what I read.
Everything I do is based on Microsoft programs so switching to a mac will not be an option for me. I'm tired of technical challenges.
You had me curious about going to a Macbook. I use Office/Word/Excell and that is not an issue with Macbook. However, my Dell printer is incompatible with a Mac computer. If you switch to Mac, make sure your printer has the proper Mac Drivers to run it. Mine does not.
Hi PortlandMT, my iPhone 'air' prints to my old Epson XP-520. I'm actually more concerned that my printer will automatically connect for an update from Epson. As I have retrofitted it with large ink tanks from eBay, much cheaper, I don't want any new Epson updates to mess it up.
Also I haven't understood yet what happens with my mail which is currently saved off line in Outlook .pst files. so many questions!
I will continue researching via google and family using mac.
