Oh Susan! I was going to check with you next week to see where you were. I'm still pausing as every other option involves messing with the registry keys so I'm not doing it.

For business reasons I can't have my printer not work or my computer mess up with the new Windows 11 so I'm waiting until end of Feb. to just take the plunge and let it install on my computer.

Now with you, are you saying you have duplicates of EVERYTHING since trying to roll back to Windows 10? I didn't think you had let Windows 11 install on your computer??

If you start a new thread, can you give me the link as I want to stay in contact with you and follow up with you. I feel so bad for you. I think you might be in need of a real computer technician. Is there any qualified computer techs near you where you live? It sounds like a tech would back up your original Windows 10 installation and all of your files and then do a whole new clean install of it. That is way beyond what I know what to do.

PortlandMT ALL my files now have copies.

    Everything, photos, PDFs Word Docs.

Can you check if this happened to you too?

I shall start a new thread but curious if we can trace it back to Window 11 and my re-installs trying to get rid of Windows 11.

Unhappy. My back hard drive is 2TB and is FULL

    Susan

    Agreed!

Hang in there. I guess if it never resolves and gets worse, it's time for a whole new computer and we start over.

Susan: Just keep pausing. Don't beat yourself up anymore. If I get new information, I'll supply it to you but at this point I would keep your computer running like it was, as best you can, and hang tight.

I even researched to a whole system restore back to a month ago. Guess what? Everything would go back but the files and downloading of Windows 11. It's there to stay no matter what you do.

PortlandMT, That's interesting, my system restore kept disappearing. Even the restore points I created.

I'm done :-), pause it is!!
