    I had the same problem.

I searched and found a solution.

Just go to "Turn Windows features on or off" and turn off ".NET Framework 3.5" and reboot.

Then try to install the update.

    System will be updated successfully.

Then come back and turn on ".NET Framework 3.5"

Should not have to do all this as it's a recurring problem with some updates, even caught in a loop not booting into Windows to do the cmd thing?
