A few weeks ago, I can't remember exactly when it occurred (May have been after installing W11) my screensaver and display sleep functions just completely stopped working. I have tried every trick in the book. I have updated my BIOS and chipset drivers. Powercfg -requests shows an audio stream running from realtek, I tried overriding it but didn't solve anything. I confirmed every power option setting is correctly enabled. Basically I've spent extensive time googling and troubleshooting this to no avail.
The one thing that did fix it was running the DISM restore commands in CMD Prompt, however, it only works temporarily for the initial reboot after running that command, and then it stops working again if I reboot a 2nd time.
What can I do to fix this problem?

Why in the name of God would you put someone through reinstalling win 11 for such a simple issue? This in no way is going to fix his problem and is a default answer you "geniuses and techies always say to do of which 99.9% of the time never work and are a big waste of time. Lets stick to the issue at hand and try and address that instea dof suggesting to reinstall windows shall we? Good lord I wonder how you got your job, honestly I do.
No kidding. Re-installing using this method ended up corrupting my files and I lost everything. And now there's been no further response from MSFT in months about this despite more people having the issue.
I had the same issue and solved it, wanted to share with this thread.
I turned off the Nvidia Graphic Overlay in Geforce Experience. this seems to have solved it - now monitor sleep and screen saver is working.

Did not work for me. Still having issues. Some days it works, others it doesn't. Cant make any sense of it.
