Windows 11 Screensaver / Display Sleep functions not working

A few weeks ago, I can't remember exactly when it occurred (May have been after installing W11) my screensaver and display sleep functions just completely stopped working. I have tried every trick in the book. I have updated my BIOS and chipset drivers. Powercfg -requests shows an audio stream running from realtek, I tried overriding it but didn't solve anything. I confirmed every power option setting is correctly enabled. Basically I've spent extensive time googling and troubleshooting this to no avail.

The one thing that did fix it was running the DISM restore commands in CMD Prompt, however, it only works temporarily for the initial reboot after running that command, and then it stops working again if I reboot a 2nd time.

What can I do to fix this problem?

    yea, a representative from MS ask me to take control of my computer to help me with the issue but after a while, he left without warning, just stopped without letting me know. I waited, waited and waited about 30 minutes and he never completed his thing he was doing, so I eventually cancelled the communication....That is what is sad, these foreigners from where they are from can't even finish a job. MY issue with the screen saver is still not resolved but I won't allow MS to do anything, MS is no good as far as I'm concerned.....

    Thank you, Joshua, for letting me know I am not alone in this problem. I believe it is a sad state of affairs when MS cannot maintain such a vital tool as the screensaver mode.

    My Alienware Aurora R16 starting having this issue out of the blue, this week. It ended up being my Valve Index that was keeping it awake. I tried finding it in the Device Manager, to turn off its ability to keep the computer awake, but couldn't get it to work. I guess I'll just keep it unplugged when not in use.
