A few weeks ago, I can't remember exactly when it occurred (May have been after installing W11) my screensaver and display sleep functions just completely stopped working. I have tried every trick in the book. I have updated my BIOS and chipset drivers. Powercfg -requests shows an audio stream running from realtek, I tried overriding it but didn't solve anything. I confirmed every power option setting is correctly enabled. Basically I've spent extensive time googling and troubleshooting this to no avail.
The one thing that did fix it was running the DISM restore commands in CMD Prompt, however, it only works temporarily for the initial reboot after running that command, and then it stops working again if I reboot a 2nd time.
What can I do to fix this problem?

No. I'm not a tech person in my health is not particularly good so I have no interest in work arounds or trying this and trying that. Either the company fixes this or it won't work for me. Obviously that is the case for the vast majority of users.
Rather hilarious that this is the company that's going to lead us into the AI future when they obviously have trouble preventing massive spam among users of their email products, crappy spreadsheet and word software that people buy only because it's the unfortunate standard. And they can't even make an operating system where the screensaver works.
Best of all, they really couldn't give a ****. The revenues and profits that they generate solely because of previous anti-competitive monopoly positions, are all directed towards new initiatives and new revenue streams. Supporting existing products is a waste of money from their perspective.
Have you found a fix for the Video Wake Lock problem yet I have the same issue
I unplugged my joystick and my computer locks and screens turn off normally now. Logitech Extreme 3D Pro.
