I am having the same issue following my upgrades on 3 computers. Is there a 'glitch in the matrix', i.e. is this becoming a common fault and will Microsoft be sending a fix package please?

A few weeks ago, I can't remember exactly when it occurred (May have been after installing W11) my screensaver and display sleep functions just completely stopped working. I have tried every trick in the book. I have updated my BIOS and chipset drivers. Powercfg -requests shows an audio stream running from realtek, I tried overriding it but didn't solve anything. I confirmed every power option setting is correctly enabled. Basically I've spent extensive time googling and troubleshooting this to no avail.
The one thing that did fix it was running the DISM restore commands in CMD Prompt, however, it only works temporarily for the initial reboot after running that command, and then it stops working again if I reboot a 2nd time.
What can I do to fix this problem?

2022-06-12T20:55:43+00:00 Why in the name of God would you put someone through reinstalling win 11 for such a simple issue? This in no way is going to fix his problem and is a default answer you "geniuses and techies always say to do of which 99.9% of the time never work and are a big waste of time. Lets stick to the issue at hand and try and address that instea dof suggesting to reinstall windows shall we? Good lord I wonder how you got your job, honestly I do.

2022-03-08T14:19:19+00:00 Yep. Usb joystick unplugged and now its working. Guess once joystick is plugged it thinks that you are playing a game and disables screen saver.

2022-03-12T18:11:51+00:00 Considering this only started with Windows 11 this is definitely a new glitch that was introduced. Why it's only affecting a small subset of people is odd. It is definitely not peripheral related as I tried removing everything. Only thing that temporarily fixes it is doing the "DISM" commands as I mentioned above. Would like to see this fixed but if not enough people complain not sure it will be.
