how do I fix desktop and file folders that do not refresh automatically?

If you are using Windows 11, you can try this:

  1. Open File Explorer
  2. On the top bar, click the right most "..." to open more option
  3. Click "option"

there are three tabs on the top, what you have to do is to click the "restore to default" button on each tab.

remember to click "apply".

    The problem is that You probably have mapped some network drive - if You remove this drive from filemanager and reset PC, all will work fine. Unsolved problem is that how to map network disk and don't loose refreshing feature:/

    Click the right mouse button of Update, "New">"DWORD (32-bit) Value", rename, the data of UpdateMode is 0

    Exit the Registry Editor and restart the system.

    CAN I APPLY THIS STPES WITH "64 BIT VERSION WINDOWS" ???

    Kindly revert asap

    You definitely can, just because it's showing 32-bit doesn't mean it can't add the double-word value.
