Windows 11 broke my PC!

Pretty stereotypical. You don't expect an OS to run smoothly and function properly after downloading it. Also, it's not necessary that it'd work fine on every system. Everyone had unique problems initially. Thankfully, Microsoft was quick enough to recognize the bugs/glitches and successfully patch them.

Around November 2021, I downloaded Windows 11 for the first time. It wasn't even functioning; lagged every single moment. But, after a few updates and tweaks, it got smoother. And to this day, I've been using it without any problems and I'm happy with what it offers.

It's pretty stable right now. Even if your encounter some issues, or feel that the OS doesn't match your expectations, you are free to report your problems/critiques to Microsoft, and they will get it fixed soon if it matters.

Also, I haven't heard of any OS that has been released successfully without having provided a single problem for all the users.

OK so the problems that I experienced at first have not recurred but I still find my work hampered because file names don’t appear in the taskbar. That’s enough for me to say that 10 remains better than 11

That's fine. I value your opinion. Many users are unsatisfied with the removal of some features which they were comfortable with. You could revert to your preferred OS version if you want to.

Not sure if I can revert on the PC that I was referring to. Most of the time I'm working on a new laptop which came with windows 11 so definitely no reversion possible there. So I shall continue to grumble most days.

My one year old Dell windows 11 PC was fine until you folks upgraded it. After the upgrade I could no longer backup my check register. It is obviously important to back it up. I did a restore to an earlier date that was before the upgrade. After awhile it said there was a problem and needed to restart. It restarted and it didn't work. It said it was going to automatic repair. That didn't work. It gave me six different menus to try, none worked and my computer was rendered useless. I took it to the Geek Squad, they looked into it and said it would have to be rebuilt and I would lose all my data. It was cheaper for me to purchase a new rebuilt PC. I have done that but I want to know just what the hell Microsoft is going to do about my ruined computer! Knock off the doggone so-called upgrades! Or at least give us the choice to accept them or not. Many times, after the "upgrade", something is wrong. Get rid of the "Genius" who is coming up with this nonsense. Re-build my computer, you ruined it!

It isn't just my computer, My son works for Abbot, he had one of your upgrades" and his computer was ruined too. Abbots had to rebuild it. I am willing to bet this is not the first time you have had complaints like mine.
