My Bluetooth earphones have been working well all the time until I upgraded my laptop to Windows 11. The laptop shows my earphones are connected, but neither sound nor microphone works. The browser and Zoom crash every time I try to use Bluetooth earphones to listen to music or join meetings.
I have tried disconnecting/reconnecting Bluetooth earphones, turning on/off Bluetooth, resetting my earphones, restarting my laptop, and none of these resolves the issues of no sound/mic and crashing. I even bought a new pair of Bluetooth earphones, and it did not work either.
I think this is a bug in Windows 11. Am I the only one facing this issue? What exactly is going on with Windows 11 Bluetooth? And what else can I do now?

Believe it or not, I've had the same problem. I changed (I know, it doesn't make sense) a setting in "Audio" and told my computer that I wanted it to use my earbuds BUT the setting I chose was for headphones (hard wired). They work. Don't ask me how and it's entirely possible that change didn't have any effect, but, it was something else I fiddled with. Good luck.
I cant make the microphone work with just the jack I think
For me you can connect and see the headphone symbol but the system won't let you connect to actually listen through the headphones!
Can't even talk to support as it will not work no sound ether way, 11 is another vista.
I have the same problems, after updating Windows 11, my headset first connected as Audio but a few seconds later it jumped to Input device (no audio, the headset is now a remote control for adjusting the volume). Tried all the method in this topic, won't work!
