Window 11 taskbar auto-hide turning off

I switched to Windows 11 a few weeks ago, and ever since then, the taskbar auto-hide quits working when the computer comes out of Sleep mode. I have to be away from the computer for a while before it will happen, and I believe it has something to do with me running dual monitors. When I wake my computer, my secondary monitor appears to come up faster than my primary by just a fraction. Once my primary is on, there is a message saying something about the taskbar already being hidden (I think) and the taskbar on my primary monitor has the taskbar up. When I go to Taskbar Behaviors, 'Automatically hide the taskbar' is no longer checked. I'll select it again, and it will work fine until the system goes back into Sleep mode for a while, again.

    Im having the same issue with my triple monitor set up so it seems to ne a multi display bug, looks like windows 10 i go.

    No it's not! I've been complaining about this since I got the upgrade right at the beginning, and I've lost count of how many times I've come onto here to stress that it doesn't always affect only multi-screens. My multi-screen set-up now seems to have settled to working on my main laptop but not disappearing on the second screen - annoying, but what can I do? My separate laptop is not in use much now, but had the same recurring problem many times when I was using it regularly.

    I came to the conclusion long ago that microsoft made a complete booboo by changing the technology in windows 11, but has been in denial for that long that it's not about to crawl out of the woodwork and admit it now. Let's just hope they've been listening, and if we get a windows 12, maybe they'll have learnt their lesson.

    I'll add my voice to this massive chorus. This is a SUPER annoying issue. I have to re-check the box the auto-hide setting at LEAST a few times a week.
