I switched to Windows 11 a few weeks ago, and ever since then, the taskbar auto-hide quits working when the computer comes out of Sleep mode. I have to be away from the computer for a while before it will happen, and I believe it has something to do with me running dual monitors. When I wake my computer, my secondary monitor appears to come up faster than my primary by just a fraction. Once my primary is on, there is a message saying something about the taskbar already being hidden (I think) and the taskbar on my primary monitor has the taskbar up. When I go to Taskbar Behaviors, 'Automatically hide the taskbar' is no longer checked. I'll select it again, and it will work fine until the system goes back into Sleep mode for a while, again.

I have the same issue and what appears to be an accompanying issue: when coming out of sleep, the taskbar is unhid, the few folders and files I have on my desktop are all jumbled up, and they are only fixed by restarting Windows Explorer. It's so frustrating to have to restart Windows Explorer and reselect the autohiding feature like a half-dozen times a day. Fix this MS. Do it now.
Having the exact same issue here, please fix this! It's really hard to work with Teams and other items when the taskbar keeps turning off auto-hide.
I've been on W11 since it first officially came out and this behavior just changed for me in the last two months or so.
Hello all, does it really make sense for someone to write here every few days that they have the same problem? Solutions would be better. For me, the AutoHide works ok 95% of the time. In most cases it was a message/change in one of the pinned programs' that prevented the hiding.

Yes it is a beneficial, to write everyday that we have the same problem. Because This problem has persisted since launch of Windows 11 and Microsoft has yet to resolve it. Not talking about it will not make it go away.
I'm glad that you were able to resolve your issue, but the rest of us here, unfortunately, have not had that experience.
Same issue. Persisting for months. Every week or so I need to go back into the taskbar settings and turn the auto-hide back on. What a surprise; a basic feature consistently "broken". They might as well call it a feature at this point.
