Window 11 taskbar auto-hide turning off

I switched to Windows 11 a few weeks ago, and ever since then, the taskbar auto-hide quits working when the computer comes out of Sleep mode. I have to be away from the computer for a while before it will happen, and I believe it has something to do with me running dual monitors. When I wake my computer, my secondary monitor appears to come up faster than my primary by just a fraction. Once my primary is on, there is a message saying something about the taskbar already being hidden (I think) and the taskbar on my primary monitor has the taskbar up. When I go to Taskbar Behaviors, 'Automatically hide the taskbar' is no longer checked. I'll select it again, and it will work fine until the system goes back into Sleep mode for a while, again.

How is this a 'fix'. the Sw should work out of the box - without needing 'specialist' knowledge + 1-2-1 support.

MS need to just fix the bug

Absolutely! So far I've been given 2 solutions:

    1. set the instruction in safe mode
    2. use coding

So far I haven't got round to either, as the problem appears to be intermittent. I'll try the 'safe mode' version if and when it happens again. But the coding solution seems grossly ridiculous when these programs are supposed to be user-friendly to everyone, not specialists.

How Microsoft thought it was OK to release this windows version with a totally deficient tool bar is beyond my comprehension! I swapped a toolbar I could miniaturise and move around as I pleased for one that doesn't even hide and reappear proficiently, let alone miniaturise. Microsoft, get out of your comfy chairs and fix this toolbar once and for all!

It was mostly working for the past week, until a patch came in a day or two ago, now it's back to being a problem for me. Already had to restart windows explorer once and often the second monitor taskbar is unresponsive, hitting the windows key does bring up the main monitor taskbar.

Never had this problem with Windows 10.
