Window 11 taskbar auto-hide turning off

I switched to Windows 11 a few weeks ago, and ever since then, the taskbar auto-hide quits working when the computer comes out of Sleep mode. I have to be away from the computer for a while before it will happen, and I believe it has something to do with me running dual monitors. When I wake my computer, my secondary monitor appears to come up faster than my primary by just a fraction. Once my primary is on, there is a message saying something about the taskbar already being hidden (I think) and the taskbar on my primary monitor has the taskbar up. When I go to Taskbar Behaviors, 'Automatically hide the taskbar' is no longer checked. I'll select it again, and it will work fine until the system goes back into Sleep mode for a while, again.

    willburr, as end users, it is the absolute right thing to post updates on continued issues in this thread so that the developers understand that there is still a problem that needs to be resolved. I found this thread because I was looking for a solution to this exact issue. It's good to know others are having a similar issue and that it is being reported to be worked on.

    I am having the same issue with a dual monitor setup where the auto-hide feature automatically being turned off. It seems to happen every other day.

    now, I didn't find a solution but Google did lead me here. I have the exact opposite problem right now. (Only started today)

    I used to keep my taskbar hidden but because I need to access it through teamviewer using a macbook, I've decided it is easier to unhide the taskbar while I'm away from home (instead of learning the windows key on a Mac).

    Thing is, a little while after unchecking the box, explorer seems to "refresh" and my taskbar hides itself again. Looking at taskbar behaviors and I see the option checked by itself again.

    A quick check in event viewer yields the following errors.

    Personally it's still bearable whether the taskbar hides itself or not, but now I'm kinda worried there's a bigger issue looming.

    I use a hdmi 2.1 oled tv as a secondary monitor so I turn it on/off a lot to avoid potential burn in. Every time I turn it on or off it disables taskbar auto-hide and usually causes windows explorer to crash so I have to manually restart it in task manager. Not to mention after 30 seconds or so Windows 11 flashes black then randomly rearranges all my window positions. And yes, windows is up to date...

    Don't want to speak too soon but my issue seems to be fixed after a windows update last night.

    Giving it a shot. Turned on the task bar for both monitors (I had dropped down to one as that mitigated the issue).

    After: So far, it works, but the task bar is slow to respond after closing an application.
