Window 11 taskbar auto-hide turning off

I switched to Windows 11 a few weeks ago, and ever since then, the taskbar auto-hide quits working when the computer comes out of Sleep mode. I have to be away from the computer for a while before it will happen, and I believe it has something to do with me running dual monitors. When I wake my computer, my secondary monitor appears to come up faster than my primary by just a fraction. Once my primary is on, there is a message saying something about the taskbar already being hidden (I think) and the taskbar on my primary monitor has the taskbar up. When I go to Taskbar Behaviors, 'Automatically hide the taskbar' is no longer checked. I'll select it again, and it will work fine until the system goes back into Sleep mode for a while, again.

    Good thought. I have had this problem daily for 2 weeks now. Today (3/23) when I rewoke the computer, which is what I always do as I never power off or log off, I immediately got the dialog box which I closed. However, for the first time the taskbar worked fine on both monitors. I recall logging off and back on recently to see if that would help. I checked the logs and found that I had done that on the 20th. I know I had the problem on the 21st & 22nd. Will monitor and update.

    Also noticed a lot of activity posted in the logs throughout the day & night while not being used by me. There are no Windows Updates since 3/09/22 but I'm sure microsoft is surely doing something.

    I have another computer, dual monitor, running Win10, which has never had this issue.

    I found this thread through a google search. After reading a few other things, none of which fully defined the issue, I thought there is a possibility that Windows Explorer is not saving the setting then it goes through both the sleep or restart events. I tested my theory and proved this correct. I then reset the flag and signed out as a user thinking an orderly shutdown may occur and the flag would be saved. It did the trick. Now the flag is still set whether it sleeps or restarts. However, I would think this works both ways and would have to go through the same procedure to permanently turn it off. :)

    Love to hear back if this works for someone else.

    Although not ideal I have turned off the option for 'Show task bar on all displays' (bit irritating but not a massive loss), and I now don't suffer from the autohide turning off.

    I use a hdmi 2.1 oled tv as a secondary monitor so I turn it on/off a lot to avoid potential burn in. Every time I turn it on or off it disables taskbar auto-hide and usually causes windows explorer to crash so I have to manually restart it in task manager. Not to mention after 30 seconds or so Windows 11 flashes black then randomly rearranges all my window positions. And yes, windows is up to date...
