I switched to Windows 11 a few weeks ago, and ever since then, the taskbar auto-hide quits working when the computer comes out of Sleep mode. I have to be away from the computer for a while before it will happen, and I believe it has something to do with me running dual monitors. When I wake my computer, my secondary monitor appears to come up faster than my primary by just a fraction. Once my primary is on, there is a message saying something about the taskbar already being hidden (I think) and the taskbar on my primary monitor has the taskbar up. When I go to Taskbar Behaviors, 'Automatically hide the taskbar' is no longer checked. I'll select it again, and it will work fine until the system goes back into Sleep mode for a while, again.

OMG people! STOP posting "I have the same problem." Just click the button on the original post that says you have the same question. Adding another message to this stream makes it take forever to wade through the replies to try to find one that helps.
FYI. A clean install of W11 22H2 did not resolve the issue. In my opinion no matter what you do you won't get rid of it. It's either a Windows problem that they're not dealing with or a driver of some sort.
Yepper that the same message we all get. Ever since moving to Beta build 22623.1020 that message still pops up but the hide checkbox remains checked so the taskbar will still hide itself. Most times it also caused the bottom of any open windows to draw away from the bottom of the screen by the same distance as the height of the taskbar.
That forces me to resize those windows so they skirt the bottom of the screen. Sometimes it doesn't affect the window size but most times it does. You'd think that MS would've fixed this years ago.
Here is what happens after plugging back in my monitors from my 4K tv, i get this error message and then the Auto-Hide taskbar UN-checks itself lol
I have the same problem. I just bought a new Win11 laptop last week so I could use the USB-C (thunderbolt) docking station and the two extra monitors I have for my work laptop. Every time I either plug the docking station (and monitors in) or wake the PC up with the monitors plugged in "Automatically hide the taskbar" is unchecked and I get the same message as the OP. Pretty annoying.
