I’ve got bad news for you. That’s why I left Apple and built my media studio with a custom Windows machine. My custom builder, at least, returns calls and is a great help!

I switched to Windows 11 a few weeks ago, and ever since then, the taskbar auto-hide quits working when the computer comes out of Sleep mode. I have to be away from the computer for a while before it will happen, and I believe it has something to do with me running dual monitors. When I wake my computer, my secondary monitor appears to come up faster than my primary by just a fraction. Once my primary is on, there is a message saying something about the taskbar already being hidden (I think) and the taskbar on my primary monitor has the taskbar up. When I go to Taskbar Behaviors, 'Automatically hide the taskbar' is no longer checked. I'll select it again, and it will work fine until the system goes back into Sleep mode for a while, again.

If all of those have to be rearranged every time the computer is put to sleep, then this is not a solved issue. It just became a new issue.
This is annoying! I have been using Win 10 until this gets resolved & I guess I'll wait some more before updating to Win 11.

2024-07-09T17:43:03+00:00 Well my task bar auto hide is still working normally but...... now when it wakes up the contents from my primary screen are more often than not sent over to the 2nd screen forcing me to drag it all back along with resizing the windows.
I suppose that we can't win them all - especially with MS. 😜😂🤣
