Can't switch out of S mode: "Try that again"

I recently purchased a laptop that came with the S mode of Windows. On the first startup it automatically installed Windows 11 (so downgrading to 10 is not an option). After set up etc. I updated Microsoft Store and installed various Windows updates and tried to switch it out of S mode. Instead, for the past few hours and with each of the hundreds of attempts, I keep getting a window that says "Try that again. Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help" along with an error code that changes every time. I am burned out and all out of ideas, any assistance on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

Same issue. Tried everything. So ridiculous. Returning this garbage tomorrow. Way to go, Microsoft. My first experience with this new laptop is, "God, I hate Microsoft."

Looks like the server broke again. Mind sharing a feedback Hub link?

Hi Hash Brownie, hopefully you have switched out of S mode since it's been about 1 year,

If you still can't switch out of Windows 11 S mode, I Would recommend you do this

If it doesn't work, please try to factory reset your device if you need help to factory reset your device, use the steps this article tells you to do How to Reset Windows 11 - Microsoft Community

    Select remove everything and then,
