Same problem with New Dell arrived today. One I got last week got out of S mode ok. Seems a microsoft store problem.
Can't switch out of S mode: "Try that again"
I recently purchased a laptop that came with the S mode of Windows. On the first startup it automatically installed Windows 11 (so downgrading to 10 is not an option). After set up etc. I updated Microsoft Store and installed various Windows updates and tried to switch it out of S mode. Instead, for the past few hours and with each of the hundreds of attempts, I keep getting a window that says "Try that again. Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help" along with an error code that changes every time. I am burned out and all out of ideas, any assistance on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

2022-01-05T03:56:59+00:00 I was having the same issue with a Surface Go I just got today. I reset the app store app using roughly the solution linked below and that seems to have worked:

2022-01-05T04:09:34+00:00 This is very frustrating I have the Microsoft Surface and I am also having the same issues. I was hoping to find some answers here but I think we have all tried the same things. It keeps bringing me back to the "Get" button without doing anything. As stated above the laptop is useless for work. Very annoyed and will be returning tomorrow.

2022-01-05T04:15:29+00:00 I have restarted, i have downloaded via cloud, i have updated all apps, all windows, i did this about 3 times, and it still doesn't work. all i get when i say GET on s mode prompt is a GET button that doesn't work and when it works it says " Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help."
This is absolute joke that I can't do anything on a new laptop I purchased today. Windows 11 S MODE is STUCK! S mode is a horrible. I have outside apps and installs that are needed.
I will be putting my laptop down and it seems to be a MICROSOFT/WINDOWS issue
