Can't switch out of S mode: "Try that again"

Other users have found a reinstall fixed it.

I'm sure it's mentioned previously in this thread.

Other threads on the same subject offer different ideas.

I recently purchased a laptop that came with the S mode of Windows. On the first startup it automatically installed Windows 11 (so downgrading to 10 is not an option). After set up etc. I updated Microsoft Store and installed various Windows updates and tried to switch it out of S mode. Instead, for the past few hours and with each of the hundreds of attempts, I keep getting a window that says "Try that again. Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help" along with an error code that changes every time. I am burned out and all out of ideas, any assistance on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

I have tried the S mode way were you have to activation, and it still wont work. This is a new pc.

That doesnt work for me it still doesnt process, I have done the activation set doesnt work. Done updates for the pc since its new and doesnt work.

I have done the above suggestion and many others I've seen online. Nothing works. This is intorllerable. MS is holding my computer hostage.

The last option is a clean install. That should install windows without S Mode.
