Can't switch out of S mode: "Try that again"
I recently purchased a laptop that came with the S mode of Windows. On the first startup it automatically installed Windows 11 (so downgrading to 10 is not an option). After set up etc. I updated Microsoft Store and installed various Windows updates and tried to switch it out of S mode. Instead, for the past few hours and with each of the hundreds of attempts, I keep getting a window that says "Try that again. Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help" along with an error code that changes every time. I am burned out and all out of ideas, any assistance on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

2022-01-04T20:26:58+00:00 Same issue with 2 new Dell laptops today ... both Windows 10. Have followed every thread I can find to fix the issue and nothing works. At a point now where I don't even get the failure message, after a minute or 2 it just goes back to the "Get" screen.

2022-01-04T20:27:46+00:00 I am having the same issue. I have tried every troubleshooting tip I have found online but most of them refer to windows 10. Updated the microsoft store, updated the software, reset the microsoft store, restarted the computer, changed the region setting, even reset the computer completely and redownloaded windows. Now it doesn't even give an error box. It just shows the outline of a box for a few seconds and goes back to the same screen with the "get" button. Now I am waiting for a call from the microsoft team but I am not hopeful...I will probably be returning the computer tomorrow. I am so annoyed.
