Hi, I'm facing this same issue with a brand new lenovo laptop I bought yesterday. Did you succeed in switching out of the S mode?
Can't switch out of S mode: "Try that again"
I recently purchased a laptop that came with the S mode of Windows. On the first startup it automatically installed Windows 11 (so downgrading to 10 is not an option). After set up etc. I updated Microsoft Store and installed various Windows updates and tried to switch it out of S mode. Instead, for the past few hours and with each of the hundreds of attempts, I keep getting a window that says "Try that again. Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help" along with an error code that changes every time. I am burned out and all out of ideas, any assistance on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

2024-05-03T23:25:40+00:00 I'm in the same boat. NEVER have I such issues with windows pcs. I can honestly say I appreciate my work Mac 1,000 x more now. Brand new pc gifted to me from my children for my birthday and mothers day and I want to throw it against the wall. I have done nothing but troubleshoot getting out of S mode since I turned it on. I have spent wasted hours now and still haven't been able to accomplish any of the work I needed to.

2024-04-28T11:55:27+00:00 I am not even given the option to switch out of S mode the windows will not allow me to turn it off or do anything with it, this is why i will not be purchasing a windows laptop in the future because this problem is ridiculous.
