Can't switch out of S mode: "Try that again"
I recently purchased a laptop that came with the S mode of Windows. On the first startup it automatically installed Windows 11 (so downgrading to 10 is not an option). After set up etc. I updated Microsoft Store and installed various Windows updates and tried to switch it out of S mode. Instead, for the past few hours and with each of the hundreds of attempts, I keep getting a window that says "Try that again. Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help" along with an error code that changes every time. I am burned out and all out of ideas, any assistance on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

2022-01-17T13:41:11+00:00 I have this issue with two new laptops of different brands - just updated to Windows 11. Cant download any software I need. Keep getting prompted to switch out of Smode. Click the link on prompt message which opens Microsoft Store with this error "Try again. Something went wrong on our end. Waiting might help." Code: 0x80131500. Been an error 4 days now and the laptops are absolutely useless to us if we cant download the software we need. Raised on the Feedback app but no response aside from 'Try again now'. Tried to use the help app but get an error there too! Tried solutions mentioned on this post and countless others. Absolutely fed up and wishing I'd gone with Apple.

2022-01-05T14:44:11+00:00 It worked this morning (1/4/22). I hit GET and about 10 seconds later, it reported that I was no longer in S-mode. I was then able to run my app. I didn't do anything different, so they must have (at least temporarily) fixed it.
