Windows 11- audio long delay before starting

I have dell XPS 13 9310 2-in-1

I upgraded from windows 10 to windows 11

I tried several solutions for this

First, I removed the Realtek Audio driver and kept the wave Maxx, but this didn't solve the problem

So I removed all, and I downloaded the Realtek Audio driver from dell website and installed it but this didn't solve the problem either

eventually, I removed all the Realtek Audio driver and Wave Maxx Pro and let the windows do the driver definition with Automatic Windows update, it installed different version than that found in dell website, and this actually solved my problem and now there is no delay and video & audio are in sync for more than a week now

Make sure that this app is the only Realtek app that installed not 2 of them, because I think that the other one is making the problem

I have the same problem! lenovo s340, almost all of the time I hear not the full notification sounds but only an ending part of it. If I pause a video on youtube and then come back after a while and press resume, the video starts playing, but the sound appears maybe in a second or more!!!!!!!!!!!

If I play the sound with win 11 default media player I don't hear the start of the file at all, sound start in 1 or more seconds of file....

smth is not right with the audio buffer etc. of course drivers, thoubleshooting disabling enhancements etc doesn't help

You should check the chain on this problem. I was lucky to have had my computer replaced and the new computer does not have the delay issue. It is my understanding that the latest updates has solved the problem. Make sure you have run all updates.

Not sure this will help people much but I have recently found that when I do not use audio for a while it seems to hibernate and won't restart automatically on my PC. This affects spotify; windows media player, youtube videos, etc (though not Xbox One console games). My work around is to click on the speaker symbol in the lower right corner of my screen and quickly swipe the volume right to 100% and then left back to zero and then to 12%. Sometimes need to do this twcie and it always works. This usually fixes it for the day. I have been doing this for some time now and think it may be related to the audio drivers for Logitech which although identified as Realtek Audio in Device Manager show the provider as Microsoft 10.0.19041 (12 June 2019) conflicting with my NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti audio drivers. I recently installed Logitech Z506 5.1. speakers (which were a right pain to set up and then get sound out on all 5 speakers) and have Windows 10 and 11 installed on separate internal drives. I rarely turn my Omen tower PC off, and play music on Spotify or Windows Media player as I go to sleep, so they and the PC are usually in standby mode overnight (this may change now due to the rapid escalation in everyone's domestic electricity costs). When powering off the PC I notice that the audio makes a loud audio 'burp' (in lieu of the technical term for this) during the shutting down and restarting process.

This problem IS NOT resolved. I bought an HP i7 all-in-one PC from Costco and had this issue. After troubleshooting everything possible on the web and with HP tech support for three hours, they determined that it was a faulty headphone jack. So I exchanged it for the exact same machine and the new one has the same problem. This time, I tested videos in between Windows 11 updates, and just before the third to last update, it started delaying the audio again. So, it's a Windows problem. This is why I use Apple for everything and my PC and Android devices are for testing purposes only for my business. Windows and Android are garbage. Always have been. I walked away seven years ago and walked away from most stupid problems like this when I did. What a nightmare to have to come back to this. It's worth the extra money to buy Apple devices. Their standards are so much higher than this.
