Windows 11- audio long delay before starting

After updating to Windows 11 on my 6 month old laptop, my audio files take 20 seconds to start or they do not start at all. This also causes a delay in videos starting whether the file is on my computer or a website. Has anyone else had this issue.

    Hello Norma, it looks like it has been solved by Dell with the latest main update (6 days ago) and adding an optional firmware update. This last one must be found apart, in the lower menu, click ADVANCED, and then down in the second menu case that says ADDITIONAL OPTIONS, you will find firmware update.

    That´s all, it's been 6 days now with no problems in Windows 11 on my laptop with volume, video, and audio lag/delay.

    Hi Marco,

    On my side on a ThinkPad X1, even with all the latest upgrades (BIOS, Drivers, Intel Upgrades, System) I still have the same problème :-(

    I really regret switching to Windows 11.

    Hello B.

    Give it some time, they probably go fix the problem per brand. Firmware is a must, but this is a must on every brand to do the fix, has nothing to with Microsoft.

    By the way, it is happening to Windows 10 too. It is a matter of brand-new tech getting together with the existing infrastructure and software in the world. It is a matter of time, and will be definitely solved.

    I too have a new dell laptop and updated to windows 11 few months ago

    I still have the same problem, affecting inserted videos in power point,
    can you send me a little bit details about where to find this advanced update of the firmware

    Hello MohabSharaf, I am not a Microsoft agent, if you dont know to handle it, find help with the support dept of Microsoft or find an IT that can help. If you read the comments, there is explained where to find the firmware in the advanced update options.
