Windows 11- audio long delay before starting

Same issue on brand new Dell computer and Windows 11 :-( Quite annoying !

Hi Patrick. Listen, the latest update in the last 5 days, fixes 90% of the problem. With a brand new computer, you must first install all pending updates there are, your computer must have been weeks or maybe months while it was sold to you.

These updates fixed a lot of the problems (still a small delay can be noticed): 2022-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB5011493) and 2022-03 Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057).

Hi, the problems still remains on my computer even with te latest updates :-(

I have a one year old High End Thinkpad, which had no issue on windows 10.

I clearly dont understand that this major problem is not solved faster by your teams !

Hi Blaise, first I don't belong TO ANY team. I am just another user having the same issues still. I am waiting as all readers of this blog, for the solution, someday. I cannot tell if any REAL Microsoft agent around is reading this blog, as far as I know only non-paid volunteer kids are playing around as MS technicians.

I thought by now Microsoft would have worked out this problem. After over 4 months of "tech support" both with Microsoft and Dell and numerous "fixes" they finally reinstalled my computer back to Windows 10 and back to the factory settings. This worked for about 1 month and then the problem returned, most likely from a required update. Dell scheduled me for an in-house repair but due to the lack of parts they agreed to send me a new computer (my computer was only 5 months old when the audio delay started). I suggest you contact the maker of your computer and see what they can do. Clearly there is an issue between the hardware and the Windows software. Good luck!
