Windows 11- audio long delay before starting

After updating to Windows 11 on my 6 month old laptop, my audio files take 20 seconds to start or they do not start at all. This also causes a delay in videos starting whether the file is on my computer or a website. Has anyone else had this issue.

    It may not be a "PowerPoint issue" per se, but... If the OS audio issue causes PowerPoint audio to not work properly, as it did in my case, then it becomes a PowerPoint issue. With the kind of work I am doing in PPT, if I can't get sound to sync properly, I can't do my job.

    I was ready for an upgrade to my hardware and purchased a Lenovo ThinkStation. (arrived two days ago and I spent most of the day yesterday doing the cutover from the old PC to the new PC.

    It came in with Windows 10 and I upgraded to Windows 11. Within a day this issue revealed itself, so I contacted Lenovo for support. Apparently, they don't tech support Operating System issues. It's not included in their standard warranty. I would've had to pay for support, if I was inclined to do so.... which I wasn't.

    So, I had them transfer me to customer service, where I expressed my displeasure with the issues they weren't willing to resolve, and asked for a return authorization.

    I am going to roll back to Windows 10 and see if that resolves the issue, if not... it's going back to Lenovo. It's way too much time and money to screw around with these guys.

    {UPDATE} I rolled back to Win 10 and everything is fine... so far. I may end up keeping the machine until Win 11 smooths out and these issues are resolved.

    Your problems are different as per your initial comment, is only happening with video in PowerPoint, this chat is no about PowerPoint issues. Go ahead, consult the Dells support or MS support.

    I know you are not a Microsoft agent, but I found your previous comments to be very helpful and useful

    I already done all the updates of both windows update and of the dell command update center including the advanced and additional,

    That's why I was asking, to see if was missing something

    Hello MohabSharaf, I am not a Microsoft agent, if you dont know to handle it, find help with the support dept of Microsoft or find an IT that can help. If you read the comments, there is explained where to find the firmware in the advanced update options.
