Xbox one Controller identified as Bluetooth LE Xinput Device

Hi,

I recenlty got a new controller and went ahead and updated the controller firmware through the XBOX accessories app, after the update however the controller is not recognised as Xbox one controller in Bluetooth mode rather as Bluetooth LE Xinput device.

The issue that concerns me is, that FIFA only allows genuine controllers, and since in Bluetooth mode it is not recognised as genuine the FIFA is not supporting the controller.

I have manually tried changing the driver for this device from device manager but it is not working. I want to know if there is a patch that can fix my controller

identification issues ??

    Just going through drivers and programs one by one between 2 Windows 11 machines where one works an one doesn’t. It may be a driver issue where usb audio conflicts with the Realtek driver - apparently some got it to work with a driver change but the problem seems to lie in the last gamebar update and how it plays with the default usb audio driver - I have a modified older driver on the other machine to allow Atmos pass through and got chat to work there… trying to see if I can get all the other items to match on a fresh install to see if it’ll fix my issue. Windows detects and picks up the mic fine but whatever protocol gamebar needs is not what most people have set up. Tested as much as I could today but it may be a few days before I can spend a bunch of time again.

    Guys, i have a solution. I figured out that it was the controller firmware update that screwed things up, so what you wanna do is

    1.- Install xbox accesories from the microsoft store

    2.-go to file explorer

    3.-click on "this pc"

    4.-click above where it says -this pc-

    5.- paste in the following command: xboxaccessories:\firmwareupdate?legacyDowngrade=true

    That will allow you to roll back the firmware from your pc! Just make sure the controller is connected with usb

    This may sound weird but in Windows 11 make sure you set your time zone to automatic as well… they did something weird in regional settings and game bar parties. This actually fixed it for me but also using the Realtek downgrade I was able to get my Atmos/dts x to work again. So currently no problems remaining…
