Xbox one Controller identified as Bluetooth LE Xinput Device

Hi,

I recenlty got a new controller and went ahead and updated the controller firmware through the XBOX accessories app, after the update however the controller is not recognised as Xbox one controller in Bluetooth mode rather as Bluetooth LE Xinput device.

The issue that concerns me is, that FIFA only allows genuine controllers, and since in Bluetooth mode it is not recognised as genuine the FIFA is not supporting the controller.

I have manually tried changing the driver for this device from device manager but it is not working. I want to know if there is a patch that can fix my controller

identification issues ??

    Welcome to the Microsoft community and thank you for sharing your concern with us today. I understand from your message that you have xbox one controller problem.We are here to help you on this issue.

    You can try following steps:

    Press Win+S and type device manager to open device manager.

    • Locate Human Interface Devices options.
    • select Bluetooth LE XINPUT compatible input device.
    • Right click Properties option and go to the driver tab.
    • Select update driver and choose browse my computer for drivers.
    • Click let me pick from a list.
    • Uncheck the box that says show compatible dardware.
    • This will bring up 2 boxes. The left should have MICROSOFT selected.
    • In the right box scroll down to XBOX ONE WIRELESS CONTROLLER and select it.
    • Click yes on the pop up.

    Hi. And is there solution that works? For now Xbox One Wireless Controller is seen as Bluetooth LE XINPUT compatible input device and acts as it should not.
    I find it annoying (and funny at the same time) - I was able to pair SONY's PS4 controllers and use them out of the box, but I cannot use MICROSOFT's XBOX controller on MICROSOFT Windows...
    The same controller works perfectly when connected via USB cable, but I don't want to have cable going through the middle of the room to the couch.
    I can give details about the setup I'm on if it will help.

    Exact same issue here.

    Manually setting the controller driver to an Xbox one controller won't save after restart for some reason.

    I am on Windows 11, Latest Insiders version, and as mentioned by @Josh and @Cpazzra changing this setting does not persist after restart.
