Xbox one Controller identified as Bluetooth LE Xinput Device

The solution posted only works for Windows 10. Starting Windows 11the targeted driver is truly not compatible. Hilarious that Microsoft would have such a massive gap in capability and continue to push the Xbox App so hard. For now, will just have to use the emulator or painstakingly remap all of the inputs within the game.

Hello. Thanks. I have tried this and it started to work. However it seems that once it turn off the computer after the restart, i have to do it all over again.

Please note that i am using a razer huntsman analog. i dont know if that has something to do with it.

You can try following steps:

Press Win+S and type device manager to open device manager.

• Locate Human Interface Devices options.
• select Bluetooth LE XINPUT compatible input device.
• Right click Properties option and go to the driver tab.
• Select update driver and choose browse my computer for drivers.
• Click let me pick from a list.
• Uncheck the box that says show compatible dardware.
• This will bring up 2 boxes. The left should have MICROSOFT selected.
• In the right box scroll down to XBOX ONE WIRELESS CONTROLLER and select it.
• Click yes on the pop up.

This is so frustrating that there is yet no solution! I have literally done all mentioned above and more for a month now. I have even clean installed my whole PC just because of this issue.

I have a Xbox Elite 2 controller and it used to work fine. I’ve been using it for a year. Since I updated the firmware, it screwed me up. In some games it doesn’t recognize it, in some games the controls are reversed, and in some, surprisingly shows me as 2 controllers connected which is totally ridiculous.

I can just go and buy the Xbox wireless adapter and it’ll work perfectly fine, but there is still something wrong, which needs to be fixed, because it’s not like it was never working for me to find another way around it. I want it back like it used to be connected via Bluetooth.

I've the same problem with a brand new PowerA Moga Xp5-x controller that is shown on Microsoft Support official site as fully compatible to a Windows PC with both wireless and wired connection.

If connected with USB it's working ONLY if the controller is set to Xinput mode and not the DirectInput factory default mode.

But there is no way to have it recognized by the Xbox Cloud games if connected with Bluetooth.

I've drop a request to PowerA support and they say that Bluetooth connection only support DirectInput mode that it's not compatible with Windows PC.... so the claimed compliance it's not true!!

After some research I've found a simple and fully functional solution using a Xbox Controller Xinput emulator that is a simple EXE file that don't need any installation.

It's working very well and, as a plus, let you reassign the buttons as you want.

I did a couple of things. not sure which one specifically worked for me.

1. open device manager
2. select human interface devices
3. right click on LE Xinput compitable input device
4. select update driver
5. Browse my computer for drivers
6. Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
7. uncheck "show compatible hardware"
8. From left side under Manufacturer select "microsoft"
9. Under Model from right side select Xbox wireless controller
10. click next and continue to install. it may ask for a restart

After that search set up usb game controller

In the box you should see the controller.

click on it and press advanced.

From the drop down menu, select xbox controller. In my case i see Controller (Razer Xbox 360 Controller) - Not sure if that is because i have a huntsman keyboard and software installed. But vibration works again for me
